Writing this series has always been on my mind. When I first started on Etsy in 2010, it was a whole new world. Things were simple and complex algorithms hadn't made their way to me yet. They were there, but never a concern. SEO requirements were pretty basic for a shop owner and costs were less. But there were still many unanswered questions.

Now, it's so much more competitive and everything depends on SEO. I can't imagine how confusing and overwhelming it must seem to someone brand new. I had a long time to get used to Etsy, and I also tried other marketplaces in order to expand into the market. None compared to Etsy's infrastructure.
